Re: Carroll - England recall?
The Sky ticker had Cresswell stating that big Andrew has scored 20 in his last 33 starts. I raised an eyebrow at this.

NO!!!!! guaranteed to get him injured.

Putting the huge question of fitness aside, Carrol is easily good enough right now to start for England.

No other right now, on that I'd agree, though usually Cresswell is good enough to start, but he has looked out of sorts lately.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
He should've gone to the euros - all our other strikers are just variations of the same style of player (quick and a bit tricky) and kane just vanishes when he pulls an England shirt on

We don't have another player capable of winning a header from a cross - we don't even have towering centre backs that look like scoring from set pieces at the moment. Even upson was more threatening than smalling and Cahill.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
If I'm honest, I don't think we have one player in our team good enough to be picked for the England senior side and actually play.

The National team is now a drab incestuous affair with only players in favoured sides like Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs etc needing to apply. It's all about taking the popular players from the biggest earning English clubs for the FAs Sponsor, PR and marketing purposes and has nothing to do with ability or building a proper team.
All their goals are short term and about making money for themselves.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
Why doesn't the FA insure all players against long term injuries whilst representing England?
Did Dean Ashton get a payout from England when that little rat whose name I forget, did his ankle in training?

Re: Carroll - England recall?
The selfish side of me doesn't want him anywhere near the England squad, but there's no doubt he is deserving of a recall, because I'm sure as fuck that Vardy, on current form, needs to be swerved.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
I'd be over the moon if he were to finish his career with the amount of caps he currently has.

100% he'll get injured if picked, so no thanks.

Robson 4:04 Tue Feb 7
Re: Carroll - England recall?
No brainer really if he can maintain current form and fitness. A big if obviously.

Mixed feelings about whether I'd want him to risk injuring himself, but as soon as he scores a hat-trick for England that would all be quickly forgotten.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
I have said this many times on this site. Carroll to lead the line for England and we play to our strengths rather than being a second rate tippy tappy shit Spain.

England with 2 up top Carroll one and another with pace and there you have both options attacking.

I should give the FA my phone number...

Re: Carroll - England recall?
Rossal - it would be typical of the England set up to pick Cresswell now that he's not playing all that well, so you might be onto something there.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
No, he'll get injured and that will fuck up the rest of the season.

Rossal 12:14 Mon Feb 6
Re: Carroll - England recall?
He should get in and well deserved too. Has been a revelation this season long may it continue.

Kane starts 100% so then you look to the bench for an impact. Carroll Rashford two biggest gamechanging forwards we have. Both should be in.

Expecting Cresswell to be in the next squad too

Re: Carroll - England recall?
The way he's playing, he should be in, and as I always say, I know he wants to play for England, so I want him to play for England. I hope he gets the blow jobs he wants from his Mrs. I hope he hits Nirvana at will when he's giving it some OOHHHHMMMM on the yoga mat.

Everythoing that makes him happy and will keep his momentum going.

What's the point of being scared he'll get hurt by playing football? It could just as likely happen playing for us than it could playing for England.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
6 goals in 9 starts

fingers crossed he doesn't get injured and manages to be available for every game left which I think would be 23 starts

Re: Carroll - England recall?
Fuck England. I fucking hate international football these days, England are a 2 bob international side these days sadly.

Unfortunately he will probably make the next squad

Hope not, probably good enough right now but remember Deano and the England training camp.

Re: Carroll - England recall?
He should be. He's on fire right now. But I don't want him wishing twenty miles of an England training camp.
